First off: Why is this site called "pumpgasracing" That was an idea I had for an old online racing game called Motor City Online, the game doesn't exist anymore, but I figured why waste the money on a new domain. So I turned it into a site about my Car. For more Info on the Sunbeam Alpine aside from what I have to say, please Visit www.sunbeamalpine.org

This is my Sunbeam Alpine.

I'm willing to bet you want to know whats "SO" special that I made a website for it?

Its mine, is that good enough?

Thought not.

Well lets get down to basics, the care looking nearly 100% stock from the outside hides its sleeper nature with a quiet 3 chamber (but high flow) muffler that exits the back with a very non threatning 2.25" steel pipe without a shiny chrome tip

Under the hood hides massive twin 40DCOE webers which are feed into the engine via an indevidual runner intake manifold. The head that these carbs are bolted to has equal modification with all of the ports being opened up: The intake to 1.582 and the exhaust to 1.384. The Valves are held inplace by aftermarket (and stronger) double springs. The valves have bronze guides and have been hand polished to flow as freely as possable. Exiting the exhaust ports takes you to a set of heat wraped 4 to 2 to 1 headers with equal length tubes (32") Which travels down a 2.25" pipe straight back with the only bend to clear the diff.

But just that cant warrent much over the stock 82rwhp.

Thats where the real mods come into play. The Chambers were all opened up to 40cc after the head has been milled .120" yes .120 . A huge number to mill off the head but I have conformed the head is still safe and belive it or not I still have plenty of clearence. The block was decked and the pistions replaced with .060 over dished pistions. All of the rotational mass has been lightened and ballanced. The Flywheel lightened to a meager 11lbs.

All of these mods are good for about
(numbers still guesses till car is dynoed)
100-110rwhp @ 6000rpm

So enjoy the car, enjoy the pic's, if for some reason you feel you must contact me you can at INDYACD@aol.com indyacd<@>aol.com please label it in a way that I wont think its Spam.
